About Us

mayflower_lBillericay Sub Aqua Club was formed in 1979 with just 12 keen numbers. They chose 1620 as the branch number to demonstrate the link with Billericay and an enhanced image of the Mayflower became the logo. We are a branch of the British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC), which is the governing body for underwater sport in the UK and has more than 43,000 members.

The club is very informal and friendly. We meet most Friday nights, either at a local pub (The Old Kings Head on Stock Road) or once a month, at the Mayflower School where we use the pool for training and skills practice.

Group Photo - Weymouth 2008The membership is small but active, and we try to arrange at least one dive and social event each month. You can find out more about our upcoming trips and events via the menu on the left. We are also quite adventurous and the last few years have seen us arranging trips as far afield as the Maldives, Africa and Iceland.
